Embossed Large Isaac J. Collins NO. 24 Patented 1905 Glass Jar with Lid | Quinn's Mercantile
Isaac Jacob "Ike" Collins was an American businessman who founded what is today known as the Anchor Hocking Corp. Born in 1874, Collins worked as a decorator at a pressed glass manufacturing company in Ohio as a young man and went on to found the Hocking Glass Company in 1905, which later became the Anchor Hocking Corp. following a 1937 merger with the Anchor Cap Co.
We believe this is a reproduction and not an original 1905 since it is such good shape. But it is a cool-looking jar with an interesting history that will look great filled with cookies, pine cones, sea shells, or whatever collection your heart desires. No chips, cracks, or scratches.*
